Hotel and Restaurant Döllerers Genusswelten

Salzburg - Austria

Design: ARCHITECT AND FRIENDS Photo: ARCHITECT AND FRIENDS The Döllerers Genusswelten is a hotel and restaurant designed by architect Micheal Atzenhofer, founder and prominent member of influential Italian architecture studio Architect and Friends since 2007. The structure is located in the central square in Golling, a small and suggestive town close to Salzburg, Austria. The project was completed in 2012 after two years of work, with the aim of transforming a charismatic accommodating structure into a hotel with a modern and welcoming restaurant, but, above all into a bright construction awash with distinctive details. The newly conceived building was perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment by virtue of modern welcoming precepts, whilst maintaining the most traditional features of the region, which has always had strong ties with the surrounding Alpine towns. The welcoming aspect and familiarity were not revolutionised in the new project, but simply re-visited, to offer a world-class stay and accommodating experience. An ambitious project deserves the use of first-class materials, chosen from the best available on the market. After a meticulous research phase and assessment as regards the walls in the professional kitchens, the designers from the Architect and Friends studio turned their attention towards the Vogue System line, in particular to the III collection. An ambitious project deserves the use of first-class materials, chosen from the best available on the market. After a meticulous research phase and assessment as regards the walls in the professional kitchens, the designers from the Architect and Friends studio turned their attention towards the Vogue System line, in particular to the IN Interni collection, which is characterised by its exceptionally elegant and stylish satin finish. More specifically, the Architect and Friends studio chose Ceramica Vogue IN Interni in the Tortora and Ferro versions, matte tiles in two shades that are both warm and reassuring, yet elegant and versatile at the same time and that perfectly coincide with the initial idea regarding the luminosity of the spaces. The glazed stoneware tiles in this line are dry pressed with a low level of water absorption, which increases the aesthetic and functional performance over time. The Architect and Friends studio chose to use rectangular tiles measuring 20x40 cm for the kitchen walls, positioning the elements in a staggered manner so as to enhance the functional elegance. Ceramica Vogue IN Interni glazed stoneware tiles have an outstanding aesthetic performance and are easy to clean, which subsequently makes maintenance simple, especially in structures that are open to the public, such as restaurants or hotels, and can also be used to tile floors. The quality of Ceramica Vogue Italian tiles is recognised internationally thanks to the extraordinary functional and aesthetic performance of each and every line, which if required, can be personalised.
